Good Coffee, Medium vibes

Lighthouse Coffee on Haley Street, Santa Barbara, California

I’m back in my hometown of Santa Barbara and for once I’m trying a new place!

We have 3 locations of Lighthouse Coffee in town and I’ve been to the other two. The coffee is usually fine, not mindblowing but certainly good enough to come back.

Today I’m drinking an iced oat latte and eating their vegan empanada. Tasty enough, and the chimichurri is yumyumyumyumyummmm!

I’m typing this as quick as I can because there are no outlets!

Only outdoor seating thats right on a relatively busy road.

Gotta say its not my favorite location for a sit and chill/work kind of vibe but for a coffee and an empanada, its great.

Though I have to say if I’m in this part of town I’d probably rather go to Cajé across the street.

MMMMMMMMM Cajéeeeeeeee.

I’ll have to make it a point to visit soon so I can do a post on that.

Today I plunged in a river!

My friend Soph and I went to Skofield Park in the hills of Santa Barbara and climbed down to the river.

It was marvelous! I had no choice but to follow the impulse, take off my clothes, and dunk in the chilly water.

With all the rain lately the water was raging and very cold but exactly the reset I needed.

Nature always resets me.

It’s the closest I feel to that presence some call “God.”

Before my computer dies…

I’m putting it out there that I’m creating something new!

Copywriting.

Okay, obviously I’m not creating copywriting.

I’m building myself a business, a parallel career if you will to have alongside my theatre career.

I’m very excited about it.

Copy ‘n Coffee I think.

Copy & Coffee?

We shall see.

But this right here, me blogging at coffee shops, is already a part of it.

I’m very excited!

Here’s to new adventures!!!

Love,

Julia Mae

Coffee: 4/5 Tasty, but not mind blowing.

Parking: 3/5 Has a small parking lot and some street parking but its a busy little area of town, I got lucky.

Food: 4/5 I got the vegan empanada, it was tasty and the chimmichurry was SO GOOD. They have empanadas and some pastries to eat. Don’t come here looking for a full meal, but snacks to absorb the caffeine are available!

Vibes: 2/5 Only outdoor seating and its right on a road. But there are lots of plants so thats good.
